Javier is great! Speaks pretty good English and very knowledgeable. I went in with Planters Fasciitis. He
calmed it down and provided some great and manageable tips. Highly recommend and close to the square if you are in the Cathedral area.

The therapist has confident hands, but he moves at a careful pace; I was never nervous that he would suddenly press too hard and cause pain. I would certainly have survived the rest of my walk to Santiago without this massage, but having had it, I’m much happier!

I am still walking the Camino Frances from SJPDP to Santiago thanks to Javier. I am in Sarria at the moment, but a few days before walking into Leon my right hip that had been replaced only 9 months ago, started aching and I doubted I could finish the camino. Javier worked on it, explained what it was and gave me advice on how to look after it. He was knowledgeable,professional and reassuring. totally non judgmental and I have been able to walk without pain by walking a bit slower and having more rests. Basically by being gentler with my body. Thank you so much.

I was having severe foot pain across the meseta, I was really worried I had a stress fracture and would have to cancel my Camino. I booked an appointment over WhatsApp and after the treatment I was reassured it was nothing serious, I just needed to stretch better and reduce my mileage. I made it to Santiago 12 days later, and I definitely wouldn't have made it without Javier's expertise

I recently walked the Frances Way from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago. By the time I reached Leon I was in severe pain with both feet and one of my knees terribly sore. It was an effort to walk across the Plaza let alone consider the hundreds of kilometers still to go.
However, the Camino as always provided, this time in the form of Javier Pena Florez - Physiotherapy Leon. I really lucked in there. Javier provides an amazing physiotherapy service, and I knew I was in good hands as soon as I walked into the clinic.
He is professional, skilled, caring and helpful. He did a range of treatments on my legs and feet that day and in the midst of that diagnosed and corrected a long-standing knee problem that no one else had been able to solve.
He also gave me good advice, and I was able to contact him to get further suggestions, and he continued to be helpful well after the initial session. I have worked with many practitioners over the years and highly recommend Javier for both acute care and for ongoing physiotherapy. If I lived in Leon he would definitely be my ‘go to’ person. Thank you Javier

Five stars are really not enough!

After badly twisting my ankle while on the Camino, I continued walking, injured, for over a week before arriving in Leon with a pronounced limp and a lot of pain. I really thought my Camino experience was over. However, after just 5 treatments over a little more than 2 weeks, I was able to return to the Camino!

Javier works with great skill and integrity, combining physical manipulation and massage with electrical and ultrasound stimulation. His skill and expertise are matched and enhanced by his focus (he only sees one person at a time) and the warmth and generosity of his care.

Because of the treatments I received from Javier I was able to resume walking between 20-25km/day and not only completed my Camino, but I arrived in Santiago, pain free. While it may sound overly dramatic, the healing I experienced at Clínica de Fisioterapia Physical Leon was nothing short of a miracle!

PS. Although I speak very limited Spanish, communication was never an issue - Javier speaks English really, really well.
